Job Overview:

As an Auditor Manager you will have a diverse and challenging role in which you will manage, develop, and coach Auditors. It is your ambition that your team will impartially deliver business assurance services that exceed client expectations, but also you will try to maximise opportunities for business growth and development with existing clients and improve Management Systems' competitive position by meeting utilisation targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a Food Auditor Manager, you will lead and develop both experienced - and new Food auditors (permanent and freelance) across countries in the North European Area region.
  • It is your responsibility to lead, manage and develop a team of Auditors, both directly employed and subcontractors. You will ensure that they deliver an effective service that complies with accreditation requirements, internal procedures, and Food Safety principles.
  • We believe in the continuous development of our Auditors; therefore, it is important to support Auditors in developing technical and behavioural competencies through coaching, formal training, self-learning, or other appropriate development mechanism. To each Auditor you will provide feedback as appropriate to support professional development.
  • As an Auditor Manager you will have an important role in resolving client complaints and queries on a prompt and appropriate way, taking every opportunity to foster strong working relationships both internally and externally.
  • To keep up with new regulations and create a strong team you will initiate, prepare, and run Auditor meetings and training events, involving other Management Systems' managers and experts as appropriate, and ensure that an opportunity is created for participants to learn and build engagement.
  • LRQA stands for safety, therefore an important task is to eliminate or minimize employee's exposure to risks by reviewing, regularly, the health and safety risk register, applying appropriate controls, communicating results of risk assessment, and ensuring health and safety is considered in the planning and execution of all LRQA activities.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Well experienced Lead Auditor in Food Safety Management Systems with preferably application knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems in IFS, BRC, FSSC, ISO22000 etc.
  • Experience in leading, managing, and coaching a (virtual) team.
  • Understanding/appreciation of relevant legal/regulatory framework
  • Commercial understanding of business management
  • A thorough understanding of the concepts of Food Safety and risk-based assessments
  • Extensive knowledge of Certification products and processes.
  • Experience of designing and delivering training would be an advantage.
  • Professional communication skills in English, Dutch.
